He’s a perpetual freeloader, living almost entirely on his friend’s largesse and good will. He has next to no idea how the real world works, even in a universe that seems to run on video-game logic as much as anything else. He’s a child in a man’s body,“It’s All About Me” attitude
He can barely relate to anyone on a personal level or operate in the real world. The entire universe is – to his mind – arranged to his benefit and if it doesn’t directly affect him, he couldn’t care less. The past is also what is holding the characters back from moving on with their lives.

_ Review Scott Pilgrim VS. the World
Scott Pilgrim, the main character, is a 23 year old living in Canada, in a band and is struggling with reality. Scott is a very immature character who is a slacker and can never hold a job. Scott floats through life without any concerns, he is truly the definition of a child stuck in a man’s body. After a recent breakup, Scott started seeing a high schooler. Knives, because he wanted things to be “uncomplicated”. By dating a high schooler, Scott felt more on his level besides having nothing in common. Scott finds himself dreaming about another girl and he falls in love with Ramona. She is a mysterious girl who allures Scott to her. Little does Scott know at the time, she would be the most complicated and intense relationship he will ever be in. Romona has a League of Evil Exes. This League has to battle Romona’s new boyfriends. Scott is faced with intense fights that resemble video games. Throughout this Scott discovers self respect, and respect for his friends and love for Romona. The relationship with Romona is the opposite of uncomplicated and truly puts Scott to the test. Not only does he have to mature but also work for it. Throughout the movie everyone is constantly challenged with the past and resolving past relationships with each other and their exes. They learn to confront the past and then move on. This film is very quick pace, which resembles a sort of video game with 80s music. There is something constantly happening and you feel as if you’re inside the chaotic childish brain of Scott himself.
